Academic Excellence

Since our opening in 1956, Academic Excellence has been a long-standing tradition at St. Andrew Catholic School. Our faculty is a group of dedicated, highly-qualified educators. We collaborate frequently in small learning groups to differentiate our educational program to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our state of the art technology facilitates this effort.

St. Andrew Catholic School’s rigorous academic curriculum meets the requirements of the Diocese of Charleston and the SC State Department of Education.

Student achievement is measured three times per year via the Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) testing. St. Andrew students consistently score well above national averages.

Art, music, physical education, computers, Spanish and library are offered at all grade levels. We offer the Sue Barton program to those students with identified needs.

In 2005, St. Andrew Catholic School was awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. This designation is based upon high test scores and innovation of academic and extracurricular programs. We are fully accredited through Cognia. St. Andrew is also a member of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA). We have recently partnered with several local businesses in order to offer STREAM (science, technology, religion, engineering, arts, mathematics) education.
