A Note from the Nurses

Welcome to St. Andrew Catholic School!  Our primary role as your school nurse is to support your child’s learning.  We accomplish this by promoting the health and safety of our students and staff.  We serve as team members in your child’s healthcare by providing preventative services, early identification of medical problems, and treatment of illness and injury during the school day.  We promise to work diligently to facilitate the best care for your child while they are in our care.

We are required by law to follow rules set forth by the Diocese of Charleston and the SC Board of Nursing regarding the administration of medications.  Please refer to the student handbook for the policy on medication administration while at school.  All required forms can be located on the school website and on RenWeb.  Please adhere to these policies and understand that we, by law, must also strictly adhere to them.

Please feel free to contact us at anytime with questions or concerns regarding your child.  We are happy to help with a referral to a specialist if needed.  We are happy to talk about a current illness.  We are your partner here at school with your child’s healthcare needs.  Thank you for allowing us to care for your children!
