Philosophy of Catholic Education:

As a former Catholic School student, I believe that Catholic Education gives children and youth the wisdom to make decisions, small or big, in a moral way.  Catholic Education helps to strengthen the values that are thought at home.  I love this quote of  Catherine of Siena  - “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”.  Taking that quote, I am blessed to be an instrument that God put in our students lives to help them discover their potential.  As a Spanish teacher, I am "planting a seed of interest” in them, to want to learn Spanish or another language(s).  A second language will widen their horizon, will help them to understand different cultures and different ways of thinking, to be tolerant, etc;  I am so blessed to serve the Lord through something that I love that is teaching, and to share a little bit of my culture and that of other Spanish-speaking countries.  I am honored to teach and serve our St. Andrew children.
